In August 2016, I visited the New-York Historical Society, the oldest museum in New York City, for their Summer of Hamilton exhibit. Here is a little snapshot of my time there, and all the wonderful things I saw! Primary documents will always have such a high place of honor in my heart. It is thrilling, and so intimate, to read what icons of history wrote in their own handwriting. I had tons of fun, and visited this exhibit multiple times over the course of that summer to make sure I didn’t miss out on a living history event with a Hamilton and Burr reading the letters leading up to the duel.
I love this museum so much! To learn more about the New-York Historical Society, and plan your own visit, head to: http://nyhistory.org/
